MPC's Ohio transport drivers win award
The Ohio Trucking Association this fall recognized MPC's Terminal and Rail Operations (TRO) Ohio transport drivers at the association’s annual conference. TRO – part of MPC's Terminal, Transport and Rail organization – received the Fleet Safety Award in the large division, for fleets that travel between 5 million and 10 million miles each year.
The Fleet Safety Awards is an annual recognition for carriers operating in the state of Ohio that stresses the importance of safety, recognizes professionalism and focuses on principals behind safe driving. The award offers the opportunity to show just how important a driver’s contributions are to a company’s safety accomplishments. TRO had the lowest accident frequency ratios within the large division, winning the award for the first time.
TRO’s Ohio fleets include approximately 124 drivers and this year, through October 2017, have driven 4,727,233 miles.
